Oh, Suzy, BTW, the county is not hiring a "6th" planner. 1 left, 1 is leaving, and they want to hire one in return. For Buddha's sake, get you facts straight! Don't use misinformation to further your career! You just overloaded the 'Planning' Scenario because you think they are in league with the U.N. You, Madam, are the worst sort of politician.
Clarification: How do I know your Husband harbors the paranoid beliefs I spoke of earlier? I over heard him talking about it at a local bar. Yep, that is a fact.

Suzy. You represent the fringe of the Valley. The old 1990's 'FreeGuys' and the rhetoric of the south valley militia, and your husbands paranoid, anti-Obama, gonna take our guns, the United Nations Wants Our Valley brouhaha. As well as your husbands involvement with Real-estate, huh, didn't we vote to get that influence out of the commission? You, Madam (Ha! Used O'Rielly's words) are a lap dog for your husbands interests, the fringe 'the Belgians are gonna take over!' and nothing short of an empty vessel that is filled with Sovereign Citizens Rhetoric, who, by the way, are not real americans, but Anarchists in want of the destruction of our Constitution and the Rule of Law. And there you go. Guess you know who's not voting for you... :)

Jeff,
In a perfect world I would have the time to be at every meeting but as John says, you as well as the commissioners are paid to be sitting in the meetings all day every day. My volunteer job at this time is to follow as best I can the goings on in the Commissioners chambers while, most importantly, I am out listening to the voters and letting them tell me what it is they want from their county services. I will be working for the citizens and not for the current commission.

The county commissioners are closest to the citizens they serve and it is that relationship which must be considered over any other. Every person I talk to wants their tax dollars to go to improved roads and infrastructure and to our public safety departments. People want opportunity for jobs that are career opportunities and not minimum wage part time no benefit positions which is certainly the majority of jobs available here. I am hearing that our county is way too unfriendly to business and too often getting in the way of free enterprise. Citizens want lower fees, less permit and taxing and for the county to learn to live within it's means instead of continuing to expand.

Jeff, I am not giving the current commissioners a pass when they choose to hire a 6th planner in order that this person can continue to work on "Proactive Planning" and then cut back the hours and safety of the Juvenile Detention Center! These commissioners have spent over $800,000 on getting their zoning project passed and the voters rejected it. That $800,000, much of it from out of state grants, was money down the tubes and I do not see a change of heart by the three up for election when it comes to their priorities in spending.

As the election draws nearer they become more conservative on the surface but their commitment to a progressive agenda is still obvious to anyone who does follow their positions and activities.

I am, however, well aware that most of the services and departments are state mandated and that is why I am actively working with our legislative candidates to get them to understand that what they do in Helena impacts the county they represent and unfunded mandates need to go! The size and scope of the departments still rests with the commissioners.

The state legislature, I believe, has been bogged down far too much on creating more expenses and more problems for the counties with the 1500 plus new bills each session. I am asking our legislators to represent us by getting rid of four or five bad bills before any new bill is passed.

To their credit they all seem to be listening and hopefully we will see real efforts by them to look at state mandates put upon the counties and start eliminating them. Give the power of what programs and services to be addressed back to the counties who have to deliver and pay for them.

Just my two cents.

Jeff,
It is nice to go to some of the meetings. It helps when you are paid to go like the current commissioners. Were they at lots of meetings before being elected? Some of the potential candidates have shown up at meetings albeit to camplain.

Yes. But APFN obviously has no idea about the other website that proves tassles on the flag actually make America kick more ass.

In other news: Did you hear about the tea party re-brand? They're going with the T.P. party now. Yeah, use it once, then throw it away!

Jesus wept. Has not the pharmaceutical industry spent several decades developing nice little pills that can help with this type of paranoid-psychotic break?

Get some help!
